Maybe I am reading it wrong but it seems like none of their cards give me everything I would like for the money. I just had my 2 HDS 9 Touch Gen 2's installed and this is my first foray into high end fish finders but I like the fact that the Navionics + gives you all lakes and a year of updates but was thinking it would be nice to also have the 3D Charts that I can get from Hot Maps Platinum. Sorry for being such a "Green Bean" but can you guys chime in with some advice?

The Hotmaps Platinum card has regional coverage with Nautical Charts and has the satellite overlay, 3D, and photos. It can have the Sonar Charts map layer added.

The Navionics+ has all the Nautical Charts for the US and Canada and can have the Sonar Charts map layer added.

The current Hotmaps Platinum regional cards and the current Navionics+ card are the same price.

Every new purchase of a Navionics product includes a year of Freshest Data Updates.

No map product will be "best" for you if it doesn't have the locations you want. You can view the current Navionics maps on the Navionics website's Web App to see if your waters are included.

The Lowrance Insight maps may or may not have what you need.

I have Hotmaps Platinum cards and don't use the 3D, Satellite Overlay, or Photos, I use use the Nautical Charts and Sonar Charts.

I have both versions of the Navionics+ cards also as well as some Hotmaps Premium regional cards.
