Hey guys, I'm headed to Lake Texoma mid August for a weekend trip and staying west of 377 bridge. Looking for any hints on where to start. How is the Red River compared to the Washita arm water clarity wise? Is it worth the ride? It has been about 10 yrs since I last fished Texoma. Not afraid to trailer or travel. Just mainly looking for a place to start or anything better than the TPWD fishing report would be greatly appreciated. Mainly targeting black bass.

The far west end can be good for a shallow bite in the summer if it's not real muddy. It usually clears up some in the summer. I usually fish docks that time of year in the midlake areas.

For us it has always been bluff walls and rock with cranks, jerk baits, and top waters from now until it gets cold again.

See you on the lake and have a great day!

Catfish Bayou, Air Force base, Big Mineral and Buncomb are all good areas on that side of the lake. water clarity should be very good at that time of year. fish anything that looks fishy to you they are usually very easy to catch, size might be good too. worms, jigs, chatter baits, and crank baits. good luck

Thank you very much for the inputs Skeeter man, Bass Buster, Bradshuflin, and Chris! That is just what I was looking for. I will be staying at the Air Force Annex and have two of my boys driving in to fish with me. Makes the lake a bit smaller and it will give me confidence to hang around on the west end vs trying to make a run up the Washita arm. I'll post how we did when I get back for sure. Thanks again.

I put in at High Port Sunday morning and left a noon. Pretty empty for an early July Sunday. Went as far west as Big Mineral, water is muddy!! Tried as far north as TI's grounds, dirty. Lake still a few feet up. Didn't fish much, maiden voyage of my new boat so many ran around. They've had some pretty good storms around the lake and west through out the watershed so still plenty of water coming in.

Use google and type in cedar bayou texoma, buncomb texoma, etc and it will load a map showing you exactly where they are

Click the map and a full page google map will open, allowing you to zoom in or out for clarity

You were being helpful, and he didnot need to know where they were he is building a house on texoma. I need to find out what his new boat looks like so I can follow him around and find all those honey holes.
