I've never been back there but have some buddies that yak back there and do pretty well. Just never made my way down. Anyhow, a friend of mine lives down there and is promising me I can launch my 1648 CC and run wherever I want because of the levels back there right now. I thought about messin around down there. Thoughts? Would I be crazy to attempt it?

You can launch it but may have hole or two in it before getting back. Heck they stopped letting water out yesterday.

Fished the 8 mile stretch between the Dam and Dick's Canoes this weekend. Fishing was good. I'm told they start letting water out about 1:00 p.m. now. That seemed about right, based on what we saw several miles downstream. It's low in the morning, but picks up quite a bit in the afternoon.
