I'm new to baitcasters and im finding they aren't my go to on windy days, can I get away with a baitcaster pitching setup even on windy days or should I set up a spinning combo also

I always carry a spinning combo for hard to reach places like casting horizontally under docks etc...

There is always a legit reason for another rod and real grin

Once you learn to pitch well with a baitcaster you should be able to pitch anytime anywhere. I don't have anything else in my boat. My ONE spincaster is for schooling sandies if I happen in to them........

One pitching setup with a jig should be fine. The wind shouldn't effect you much, what is it about the wind that's bothering you?

Use whichever you have confidence in but the only thing that I use a spin cast for is dropshot. You might be trying too light if the wind is bothering you or more likely, you don't have it adjusted properly
