I have a Shimano 50MG that I intend to use for crankbaits. It's an extremely light reel. I need recommendations for a rod sold at Academy (gift card) for $100. I can't really add cash to it due to a newborn.

One of their Ethos cranking models, The Shimano Clarus is also a good rod under $100. Skeet reese makes a decent cranking rod too. Id just go up there and play around with them until you find one with features you like and that feels good to you. Its a cranking rod not like it has to be super sensitive or anything.
