Doing some bank fishing and throwing some jugs. I have a whole mess of bluegill. Keep them live or use as cut bait ? Fishing in the evening btw . Any suggestions ?

Trial by error, half and half see what produces. I never go wrong with heads tho. Good Luck Im sure with this south wind for two weeks straight they should be stacked on North Banks

Didn't catch a darn thing last night. Figured with the south wind blowing for two weeks that we would get a hit on the north part of the lake. Skunked with six rods out and 15 jugs in about 5-10 feet of water . Shrimp, bluegill and chicken liver . I guess that's why they call it fishing and not catching

fished this morning with chopped gills and only caught 4 dinks early. Worst fishing since March. Wind was slooooow. My other bluecat buddies on Lewisville didnt do any better so don't feel too bad. Best thing you can do is stay after em!

The blues and channels both have been biting shad like crazy the last few months. You should be able to catch some bank fish and shad around the lake Dallas cut. I have openings if you want to catch some blues and learn some spots on the lake.

I will tell you, some days you will not catch fish. Since I started fishing catfish mainly I have fewer of those days. There are things to do to avoid a skunk: the main thing is keep several nice baited holes around the lake. Now I don't fish all my baited spots every week but I do add bait to the holes a couple of times each week. If you can only fish one day a week I would say your chances of a skunk are much better.
