I am interested in hiring a guide on Lake Ray Roberts. I would appreciate some referrals.

The best on the lake is Danny Golden with Git Bit Guide Service. He is, I believe, the only full time guide that does it for a living on that lake.

I've fished with all of the guys listed in other responses. Dannie is the only one I will fish with again and its doesn't have anything to do with the others. Dannie is a blast to fish with. Guides can't help from having bad days every once in a while and even on those days, we've had a blast. I consider him a very close friend. Your biggest problem will be finding an open day.

I'm not sure when your wanting to go, but if you have issues getting lined up with a guide I would be willing to take you out. Might not catch any fish, but won't cost you anything.

If we don't catch anything we will blame it on the fact they are letting water out or the wind is blowing to hard or come up with a different excuse. smile

I too will put my 2 cents worth in for Dannie Golden, especially if you want to go for bass or sandies. Been out with him many times. In colder weather he also will put you on catfish.
