Thumbs up for Danny Golden. He definitely knows his way around Ray Roberts. Very personable guy and works hard to put you on to some good fish.

Feel like I'm piling on but since 2005 I bet I've fished 60 or 70 times with Dannie. I can only think of 3 or 4 trips that we stunk the place up. He knows the lake, is a really good stick, and will teach you something while putting you on fish. And he doesn't sweat much for a fat boy and that's a plus.

Well Brad that is an option that might be too hard to turn down. I would imagine that you have plenty to share and I am more than willing to supply all of the needs as far as boat and time I will PM you my phone number (well I would have but you are over your limit on PM's). PM me or go to my web site and call me ( www.mckinneyhardwoods.com). Just tell me when you have some free time and I will accommodate! I'm not sure when your wanting to go, but if you have issues getting lined up with a guide I would be willing to take you out. Might not catch any fish, but won't cost you anything. If we don't catch anything we will blame it on the fact they are letting water out or the wind is blowing to hard or come up with a different excuse.

Thanks everyone for the referrals. I have contacted Dannie and am waiting for him to get back from vacation for this first go around, but I am sure that I will work with all of the suggested gentlemen before the year is out. I hope I always have something to learn and a person willing to share! Maybe I can pay it forward someday.

I would wait until the fall for a guide. You will more than likey get a few top water fish then tons of sandies. The fall is a good time to get after them. Not to mention you can bear to stay out longer...just saying.
