Anyone know of some good spots in rockport. Looking to take my son this weekend. Never fished in rockport. Thanks in advance!

we will be there toward the end of july. 1st day we'll concentrate on the deadmans reef area and the coast of san jose island. the next day we'll make the run toward san antonio bay and see what we can find. too hot to do a whole day, so we come back to the house and chill.

If you can get out to it, Trailer Island is always producing this time of year. Start shallow with top waters and plastics in the AM and work into about "tits" deep water once the sun comes up throwing croaker into cuts and deep potholes is a sure way of a full box. I'm an artificial only guy but you can catch more fish with the Kiddos with live bait.
I say we fish 5 days a week and work 2.
