I am planning on going to POC the end of July or the first week of August. I would like to fish for Reds and Trout with an offshore day thrown in. I will be renting a house there for 5 days and I will be taking my 24 foot Bay Boat and I plan to fish out of it with a guide day thrown in. I am looking for any information that will help make my trip successful...Local names of fishermen, maybe another group with a boat that wants to join in my trip, I can take another fisherman on my boat also. My number is 214 215 7878.
Thanks Jim Beresford www.jimbphotos.com.

Get a good map - shell pads for the inshore oil rigs (Espiritu Santo Bay) should hold trout as well as the reefs. Bull reds drifting cut bait along the big jetties. If your boat is deep hulled you can get to the rigs following the boat lanes.

No. We've had a family group go a few times in late summer.

Nobody will spill their guts on a public forum. Beg for some private message clues.

I will tell you this. We have been getting our fish in areas where there is deep water near by. When we were wading every time we felt cooler water across our feet there was trout there. We threw plastics her shad in white and paddle tails in green. Look for pretty water and start wading down the shoreline. Bait size was 5-6"
