What's the difference between Summit cups and select cups?
They look the same by their rules and formats?

Its the evolution of the show basically.. the original show was called the Summit Cup Series and it involved the original 24 anglers. The 2nd year, the added the Selects.. whose winners got the chance to fish in the Summit Cup events. This year, they added a points format to both I believe.. which will allow Select anglers to migrate to the Summit Cup by points as well as winning Select events. It will also eliminate anglers from the Summit Cup events. Byron Velvick was involved in the original Summit Cup events.. but because of injury he hasn't competed this year at all. They are giving him a waver, but other anglers that haven't faired well in the competitions are about to get eliminated. I hope I have all this right, but I think I do.

Selects is like triple A in baseball. They have to qualify to move up to the summit cup

I thought Byron retired and I saw one of the MLF the shows that said he was done due to not qualifying.

I recently switched to direct tv... Anyone know what channel this comes on? I've tried the search menu with no luck. Thanks It's not available except in 1 particular package that is like 12-15 extra a month. You can just pay for the outdoor channel by itself though think I'm paying $2 a month.

They have to qualify to move up to the summit cup I wouldn't compare it triple a becuz in baseball you can skip that level if good enough and in the select cup there's not that option, there's a few selects that could easily be considered better than some already in the summit cup but
