Now that its summer and getting hot, was wondering if anyone was has had any luck at night? going to give it a shot tonight but not sure if i should just follow my same day time patterns or what

Hope you can stand the abundance of bugs but otherwise same pattern but maybe shallower.

FIshed at night 2 weeks ago , 13 keepers , using green light 10 ft down. works on about any lake right now for me.

I enjoy fishing at night, Been doing good lately at night and lot cooler.

young gun, Iam with you,get tired of sun beatdown,used to fish at night with dad at twok, man loaded the boat up, fished about 30-350ftow, old school coleman lantern, floating, sealed beam, (green?no) miss it.

Man, I love night fishing in the summer. Oddly I don't do it very often anymore. Mostly because I'm getting old and its past my bedtime, ha.

I'm the same way. I would have to take a helluva nap to stay up past midnight.

well i gave it a shot. fished from 9pm-12. not a single bite. hit all my honey holes that i load the boat with during the day. no takers. hit brush piles and timber. im stumped.

Crappie hold in the same areas they do during the day. They will bite at night if you use the right bait. Lights help also. It draws in the bait for the crappie. Use minnows also. If they don't hit minnows then they are not there.If you find them switch to jigs and experiment. Hit bridge pilings if there are any. Fish 8'-15' down and good luck.
