Iam looking at boat, has a 200hp Merc . What should compression numbers be? Its a2000yr model. thanks for help.

Which 200? EFI, Optimax or what. Compression on all cylinders within 10% of each other is the general rule.

+- 5 psi between all cylinders and 120 psi cold cranking compression would be great.
Below 100 psi on any cylinder would concern me. If any two cylinders next to each other are both low might indicate a blown or leaking head gasket. My 2003 EFI 150 is still setting on 125 all holes. A 200hp merc should be about the same if it is a 2.5L v6 engine.
