Another good week on RC as I was able to do a quick getaway on Monday & Tuesday and then back at it for the rest of the week. Adam fished Monday, today and again will be on the Lake on Saturday. He managed a 50 fish box for his two clients on Monday and then I had a 58 fish box yesterday for a threesome. Both boats out today with Families aboard and we cleaned a little over 200 Sandies for the folks. (See Pics) All fish on Points and Humps in water less than 15' deep. No surprises as the RSR Slabs and Jig Teasers just keep on producing. We have a boat open several Weekdays in the next couple of weeks and even one boat open on Saturday, August 20 & 27. If you want to learn the key to Summertime Success on RC and put a few filets in the freezer, give us a call. We'll be conducting Combo White Bass/Catfish Trips over the next few weeks!

The week of August 8th has been another good one on RC as I was able to fish everyday (If we get in tomorrow's trip before the hoped for and much needed rain shows up!) and Adam got a couple of trips in. Reports of some late, late in the Afternoon top water activity continues to come in, but we're fishing only AM trips and you just can't conduct a Guide Trip with the hope you get 30 minutes or so of action at day's end! Also, our friend and fellow Guide Britt Stewart said he got on some early AM top water action off the South Shoreline one day this week. We're still making our long trips up the Richland and Chambers Creek Arms and fishing Humps, Points and Shorelines in 15' FOW or less to get a box of fish. Most days we got our Sandies in time to do a little Catfishing. We're catching the Sandies on Slabs and the Cats on Punch Bait and basically in the same area. Most of our Customers this week were Kiddos and Dads or Grandads, but I also fished with Karl and his Dad Herman who celebrated his 91st Birthday with us today! A few Pics from this week are below:

Great report ,haven't been to RC. The thermocline must have them up shallower this year but I bet this cool front was a welcome site. Great fishing and good luck Scott

Every year our business slows when School starts due to the large amount of trips we conduct with Families and especially Kiddos. This week was the last one for the Summer that we had boat(s)scheduled for everyday and we sure hated to cancel them. There's no way to reschedule a Kiddo trip for next week when they will be back in the classroom. We had a little too much rain in the forecast for Monday thru Wednesday, but were able to get in Thursday & Today's trips and we're hoping for a little luck to get in Saturday's outing! The White Bass are still biting but the fish were not in the places they had been. The shallow water Creek Channel Points and Humps yielded a few fish, but we found the majority of our fish on the Main Lake in 25 FOW. Water temp had lowered from near 90 degrees to the low 80's and we even had a little Top Water action. (Last Saturday when the Front blew in we had two hours of Top Water in front of Fisherman's Point Marina. 16" Hybrids and bigger Sandies were really going at it!!!)

We have lots of late August and September openings and even a boat open next Saturday, August 27th. Give us a call and Let's Go Fishin'!

Here's a few pics from the past two days!

I was not on the Lake for a couple of days but had several reports of AWESOME TOP WATER Schooling in the Ferguson Point and Lighthouse area. Even Adam described it as "Like the Good Old Days" with acres and acres of Top Water lasting several hours in the AM. Well...Tuesday thru Thursday this week there wasn't a Top Water fish to be seen and the fishing was about as tough as it gets on two of the three days. The best bite was late AM on RSR Slabs in 25' water two days and then Thursday we had a nice early AM Slab Bite ( www.rsrlures.com )as we managed over 40 Whites in a couple of hours and then the Customers wanted some Catfish. Look closely as there are still a lot of 15" Hybrids mixed in with the Whites! The Catfish bite is a great backup plan if the Scaley Fish aren't biting or if you just want to load the freezer with filets! banana

We have one boat open a couple of midweek days next week and then after the Labor Day Weekend, our calendar is much more open. Give us a call and Let's Go Fishin'!

Great report that's why they call it fishing not catching. They seem to change all the time .
