I ran a trip on Cedar Creek yesterday evening despite the extremely windy conditions the last couple of days. The fish were still in the same areas I've been catching them but they acted totally different. I've been catching all of my fish suspended for the last few weeks but none were suspended yesterday evening. They were LOCKED to the bottom and would not come up to hit a bait. This is pattern that I've noticed several times over the years when heavy winds set in. I'm assuming some sort of change occurs in the layers of water due to all the chop but I don't know the science behind it.

Yup! Dynamic Infusion. Lots of O2 being thruster into the column dissolving the oxygen void....but only temporarily. The "cline" will be back soon, lol

Good question about the heavy wind and its affect on the fish. I avoid going to the lake when there are heavy winds so I wouldn't know the answer. But I'd like to see some responses from the regs and guides who would know.

I know the high winds sure changes things up for us, changes patterns all to gather. We catch a lot fewer larger fish, and a heck of a lot of dinks. Example yesterday, caught 70 according to clicker and only 6 decent keepers. I don't know, hard to figure out mother nature.

Don't get me wrong Johnny I always like a little bit of wind, but 20-25 is little much like the last couple of days.

Very interesting point, Chris. Yesterday we marked load of fish on two structure spots on Hubbard. Wind was rough. Fish hugged bottom and would not bite. Saw another TFF near by using baits and he had the same result. We were in 20 to 25ft depth. But early morning yesterday it was windy but the schooling fish were very active . But we were in 10ft or less.

They work great for trolling. They have a lifetime warranty if you ever manage to tear one up. I haven't managed to do so yet and I use them for my anchors like cleats.

Bee readys are good, just keep them out of the sun when storing or the yellow rubber will blister and get sticky. I put some on my little Jon boat and all 12 of them did it.
