Had a chance to hit Texoma for a couple hours and whacked this beast. Biggest smallie I've caught to date and boy was it fun..guessing 3.5-4 pounds.

Not sure I'm qualified to give out pointers, but we fished wind blown points along the cliffs. Caught several throwing medium diving cranks. It's strange, years past could never luck into one, now the last few times I've been, I've only caught smallmouths.

they like rocks near deep water and current, sounds like you are in the right general areas. shaky head, jig with craw trailer, tube, wacky rig, spinnerbait, chatterbait, jerkbait, crankbait, alabama rig. they'll usually bite one of those. good luck

Find a shallow point and throw a shakey head.

Caught a solid 4 pounder years ago on the point to the left as you leave Highport. Dang thing nearly jumped into the boat.
