Hi,
My mom and I are new to fishing and would like to know where to go in Austin. Also, we don't know how to hook up the line, hook, etc to the rod. Could someone please help. Anyone going fishing this weekend?

hey daughter Ashley I am not really new at fishing you know just had about a 17 year long break. The you tube videos seem easy enough but we will see when we try to do them. Does anybody know about snaps on the fishing line. You tube said it is easier so you don't have to tie knots all the time?

You will need to learn a couple of basics to make this easier on you, YouTube has you covered there with basic fishing knots. I lived in Austin for several years and bank fished in numerous areas there. The trails around Lady Bird Lake offer numerous easy access places right there in the city. If you want to venture out away from town, there are numerous parks within a short drive that offer great bank fishing.
If I fished for money.........I'd be broke.
In a world of compromise.....Some don't.
