 Windy on Roberts Thursday??

Who said it was windy yesterday. Don't normally fish Ray Roberts in windy conditions like this. It pays to have a few places "fixed up" to fish on days like this. We decided we should go anyway. Glad we did. After playing with the sandies till it was really hot, we headed for the crappie. Paid off. Fished 20-30' water. Fish were mostly 12-16' deep. Used minnows only. Too windy to mess with jig. Needed the weight to get down fast. We only crappie fished two hours. Caught a fish nearly every drop. Kept 31.

Nice job on the slabs
Katchin krappie...doin surgeries(filleting)...and givin hott grease baths until krunchy and golden brown is what it's all about!!!

Those are some good looking slabs!!! Gonna be hard to be up that way next week and be focused on Texoma instead of loading up and going to Roberts!!!

Good luck on Texoma. I'm headed for Tawakoni this weekend. Be back wednesday. Probably be hybribs and stripers. Hope to check on the crappie. Hope the wind lays a little bit.
