It's mighty hot but so is the action on the river....lots of bass chasing shad and bunching up off points and mouths of cuts on main river channel. Color doesn't matter because I tried a wide variety just to see if it would. The shady cypress knees and tree bases are loaded with bream right now. Summertime on the river.....come on Fall weather...lol.

Hey Ol Man River. I am at home right now in east Texas and it is hot up too. The only thing that saved me today was the wind, it was howling on Lake Nacogdoches. I will be back Thursday and plan on hitting the Sabine Friday if I can get off work by 5pm.
later...don
Don Chumley If I ain't fishing, I ain't happy. But mostly I'm happy. I love being retired, the check is in the mail. Mt. 6:33

Good luck Friday, lots of bass chasing bait and bunching up on windy points at marsh cuts and around shady cypress. Hot, but the wind has helped me hang in there a little longer. I have to drink a lot of water and a couple Gatorades to survive.
