Results from July 7:

Hiding out of the wind I believe may be why some skunked on a day when the bass were biting pretty good. My boater did not and we spent the whole day either on main lake points or in Glade out in the open with a sustained wind of 30 MPH plus gusts. The spray on the back deck made me take off my shoes, like walking on the beach.

Topwaters, drop shots and c-rigs accounted for most of the fish. The lunker came on a senko.

1st place went to Curt Blount with 5 fish for 14.01 and a 5.14 lunker.
We only count the five largest.
2nd place went to Bob Roberts with 8 fish for 11.72 and a 3.17 lunker.
3rd place went to Jim DeVore with 3 fish for 11.10 pounds and THE 7.56 lunker.
4th place went to Jack White with 4 fish for 8.71 and a 5.25 lunker
5th place went to new member Marvin Wade with 6 fish for 6.38 with a 1.96 lunker.
6th place went to Bill Ailes with 3 fish for 6.61 with a 3.81 lunker..

We paid 6 places and had 34 anglers fishing and caught 83 fish and lot of them were quality slots. Seven anglers skunked in this tournament. Some had a lot of success while had none. It is Lake Fork

How are those weights even possible. Because we measure and release, and record on a laminated sheet.

Curt Blount broke his all time bag weight with 14.01 lb.

Way to goes guys!

The LFA fishes every other Thursday daytime at Lake Fork only. Persons interested in joining or fishing as a guest should e-mail me at sjbasser@aol.com. or PM me on here.

Here is your opportunity to fish with friendly knowledgeable Lake Fork anglers for the cost of a $5 annual dues and a $13 entry fee. Slot fish count. No teams. We are currently at below cap and are looking for a some boaters who will also fill in as co-anglers if needed and we will also accept "guests" who generally get to fish when regular members are away.
Actually none of our guests has sat one out as yet. And we are also looking for co-anglers.

Sometimes Fork is a big question mark. But even though we don't always slay them a few will find them. This week more than a few slayed them
