I'm on my families annual coast trip In Arroyo City and were struggling. We sometime have to hunt for the trout and reds quite hard but almost always find a pattern and catch a lot of fish. The fast three days have been different. We've just caught a couple a piece each day and the wind is terrible!! Has another ever fished in the Arroyo Colorado with any success. Trying to dodge the wind issue.

The wind can really be your friend there. It will position the fish to make it way easier to locate them.

Muddy streaks across a flat will hold every trout in a half mile. Wind currents across a drain or cut will pile the flounder in like a herd of pigs.

You gotta get out of the boat and wade, but it can be worth the effort.

Thank you for the reply. We usually fish color changes and have done very well in the past. The problem was from the intercostal to the sand was chocolate milk. Oh well we had fun thanks again.

Typically we get a front in late July that knocks the winds down.
