Bruce

I followed up with Bill Kirby at the SRA on the Mustang buoys. Below is the response he provided.

Steve Chick

"You are welcome to relate that we were delayed by about a week after someone called about buoys being out of place in Mustang because we were out of the stainless steel cable used for buoy line. The buoys were run however on Friday June 24th. No buoys were found to be out of place at that time. I suspect that we have moved the buoys from their original position (as remembered by a fisherman) in order to move away from an obstacle. I hope that people will continue to call us as they find problems with the boat lanes. We do our best to respond promptly when issues are found.

Hope you had a good Independence Day.

Thanks again,"

Wish they would paint them lime green or some other color besides white. They are hard to see sometimes with sun glare and wave chop.

So, does this mean the boat lanes chip is not the best route in Mustang now?

I noticed this weekend that the lanes chip and the buoys were way out of whack....I didn't know which to follow.....so I idled. It was dark anyway
