Are there ever times where the 8' isn't enough and you wish you had 2 more feet (let's keep this about power poles  ) I don't like the 10' blades because of how tall they are and I've heard they don't hold as well due to flex in the poles. So it's either an 8' blade or 10' talon. Thanks

Yes there are times the 10' poles would be better than my 8' ones. Mostly when I'm trying to anchor in water between 8-10 foot! (Sorry, too easy to pass!) I have never chosen the 10 footers because of the inconvienience of the additional height above my motor cowling. Not worth it to me. And yes, for some reason the 10' poles LOOK twice as tall as the 8 footers running down the lake(though they stand only an extra 12" high)!

I have 10 footers and wished I had 8. only cause I have to put them down some to get the boat in the shop

I would love 10's - but for the reason stated above I won't have them - until you can push a button to stow them flat!
Whether you think you can or you can't, you are probably right.

I had 8' power poles and found that they would not hold in anything over 6-6.5' or so. I replaced them with 10' Blades and love them. Yes, they do sit up high but my fishing partners and I have gotten used to them. I did have to build my boat garage so the boat would fit without putting them down though. LOL

I had 8' on my past 5-6 boats before going to the 10' on my 15 and now my 16 boats...I really like the 8' and never really thought about going to the 10' until I made the swap, now it will be hard for me to ever go back, I love them. As stated about I always seemed to be trying to pole down in that 6-7 foot range and it was always a little iffy if they would hold, but that is not the case with the 10'. They do stick up a little higher, but when I have a partner it is easy to deploy them a little anytime not in dirt shallow water, and backing my 8' garage door I simply keep a remote in my console, bump them down a little to back in and then raise back up when I park it(9' ceiling).

I wonder if anyone has forgotten to lower them back down before exiting the garage, yikes  I am fine with the 8's , they suit my style of fishing just fine, and I do not care for the looks of the 10.

I went with the 10's and love them. They will hold you in 10ft of water. There can be a little more flex but I really like mine.

I have had 10's on my last 2 boats. they are a little taller, 11" to be exact, but I have found that I can use them so much more than I could the 8's. being able to stop in 9' of water opens up so much more anchored water to fish. I think that I will always have 10's. In Texas, you can fish less than 10' most of the year and boat control can really make a difference in water less than 10'. But, to each his own.

I have the 10' blades and they do a great job at keeping me anchored. Have "tested" them in 20+mph winds and they did the trick. That being said, the height of them as only been an issue when going under low bridges on the water but if you lower them just a bit before crossing under, they clear just fine. But all that said, Yes, i would definitely prefer the reach of 10 ft over 8ft on the PowerPole or Talons if the option was open.

I have 8' footers, wished I had the 10's. There are times I needed the extra.

I have the 8ft. I could not get my boat into my garage with 10ft. I have an 8ft ceiling and the 8ft power poles do not clear the door, so I let them down some and then lift them up after I clear the door. 10ft would not clear my ceiling when I raised them back up. I would not mind 10ft if I could fold them down. Found a bracket that could pull a pin and roll them onto the back deck, but didn't like the fact the pin wasn't tight and the poles would jump around.
