Wow! Love that color, almost exactly some of the Lake Fork threadfins or gizzards!

I should've, but I was pre-fishing for the Skeeter, so I didn't want to stick an over! As it turns out, it was my only catch for four days other than some schooling whites...

Yeah, my iPhone takes good photos, THANKS!

Nice paint job question if you don't mind what brand of paint are you using? It flows together nicely, only trouble with custom painting crankbaits Is you'll wind up with too many colors
Hunter is a very lucky young man, thumb

All of the paints on this bait are createx, having them thinned properly and lots of practice help. Honestly on these baits I had the blue reduced to much causing it to spit a little bit so it had some blue beauty marks, but I don't think the fish will be to worried about them.

Those look great, Brad! I was wondering, and keep in mind I have zero practice in painting baits, but what would happen if you laid down a purple/brownish base coat on top and then went over it with a light coat of dark green? Seems like if you could lay down a dark color base on top, then lay down a light coat of dark green, it would really pop.

Explain the idea a little more please

It looks like those shad have quite a few different colors along the top of them, with green and brownish/purplish color being the predominant colors. I thought maybe you could paint the top with a mixture of brown and purple first, and let it dry. Then once it's dry, take a forrest green or a dark green (you could even try a light green if you wanted) and very lightly, ever so gently, just barely spray it over that first coat. And maybe bring that green down the sides just a touch.

I'm just purely speaking from imagination. Haha

Suggestion related to BB94's idea:
Brown back....mesh...white as base...then purple...remove mesh. Light coat of iridescent green over the back ending above the lateral line...detail accordingly. I like BB94's idea...may try it on PVC to see how it goes thumb
