Anyone know of any sort of not well known places that have good bass/brackish fishing near beaumont? Sabine Lake and Sam Rayburn are always so packed. Thinking of places like Lake Houston, Anahuac, trinity river? What ya got?
From Baton Rouge, now in Beaumont. Just fishing wherever I go.

I aint fished them since the floods, but the Neches river and Sabine river are loaded with bass. I've heard the Tuesday evening tournaments on the Sabine are weighing in some really big stringers compared to years past. I haven't been to either one all summer yet, but hopefully soon I will.

I fish the Thursday night tournaments, launching from the salt water barrier in Beaumont. Plenty of Cuts and drains to fish lake Bayou, Ten mile, village creak all are great spots off the river. Also if the bass are not cooperating 15 minutes south you can catch Redfish on the rocks with crankbaits.

Brackish water bass are in the Neches and Sabine rivers. Fishing Monday thru Friday you're under the radar on either river and they are loaded with lots of bass.

Thanks a lot guys. I really appreciate it. Do you all think Cow Bayou is a good place to launch to fish the brackish water in the Sabine? Or is there a more preferred landing?

Cow bayou works, but I have found it harder to fish than the rivers. Seems like the bass are cramped into smaller areas on Cow Bayou and I can't get many bites except for a few secluded spots that aren't very big. The rivers produce way more for me and I can get bit in a lot more various areas with several different techniques too.
