Taking 3 of my daughters fishing this month to Texoma, Blackbass fishing too slow for them so wanted try give it a shot at some striper/sandbass action. Any tips would be great, Im the only one that currently knows how to tie the line so need to prepare early. What type of lures or live bait do I need to perpare for.

McD... That is precisely what I have been attempting to figure out. I've received feedback such as "Don't waste your time fishing for Striper on Texoma. You won't catch them because of the flooding"... Plus others related to the same. BUT you look at the Texoma guide sites for the past week or so and pictures (If truly accurate) disprove that "theory". The problem is getting those guides to disclose the bait/lures or locations being used, which is completely understandable as they want to make their money on taking you and SHOWING you. I don't blame them. Hopefully you receive better feedback and good luck!
Stay hungry my friends!

My son and the neighbors are up there this weekend. Went out yesterday evening after the storms cleared out. Found very large sandbass on the north arm from out around Alberta Creek up to the highway 70 bridge, Sorry he was too busy cleaning fish to give me exact location. They are schooling on top, which he prefers to fish. Throws pop-r's, yellow magic, torpedos or zara spooks. Works them fast. He does keep a slab \ jib combo tied on for when they go down, good way to pick up a few more. They were out this morning, catching, and back in and cleaning fish at 8:30. Hope this helps. If I get more info I'll pass it along.

update to the lure selection.... said he wasn't getting many on the top water lures, so he swtiched to rattle traps and square bills. Fish were moving around this morning so they had to keep moving to stay with them. The were on the water at sun rise, had most of their fish before the guides showed up.
