finger nail polish or model air plane paint from the hobby store will work plenty good.

Just my opinion from using all of the colors from day one when they first came out. We fish Mexico and catch many more Bass on unpainted weights. Bass like shinny. By the end of the second day those using painted weight are making the change to unpainted. I would say 1/3 more fish would be pretty accurate on the catch ratio.

If you can heat them enough they will turn a blackish blue and stay that way. Hard to keep paint on tungsten.
