Hey TTF

As I am sure many of you agree, the Legend V20 is one the baddest looking boats on the market and have strongly considered making it my next boat spring '17. When spending $65k on a boat, I for one cannot get over the issues I have heard regarding cracking & hole shot, which were only amplified when I called an the owner of a '15 V20 for sale and he said 'it would be the biggest mistake of your life' as he stated the same issues listed above.

Is anyone aware of whether Legend is addressing these issues? Honest feedback would be much appreciated.

Fyi, I am also considering a Phoenix 920.

Thanks in advance everyone,
Nick

No boat is perfect, but consider a new Ranger and be done with it. I don't own a Ranger btw...I have owned a few in the past and think they are still one of the best built in my opinion. If I could afford to spend $60k-$70k, I would own another. You got to believe Legend is addressing the issue and will make things right though.

i've been able to fix the hole shot issues on the legends.

with my 15" setback, it cuts the hole shot time down to 4-5 seconds and runs mid 70's
after some slight prop tuning.

as far as cracking issues.. idk. haven't heard that.

if your in that 65K price range.. consider the Bullet XRS. you'd be surprised at how
well it rides and fishes. it's much heavier than the older bullets. just a thought. smile

The V20 is an awesome looking boat and will run good when setup right.

The newer ranger z520C and Z521C are both awesome boats and will run mid 70's right out the box.

The bullet is also an awesome boat and the cheapest to buy. Bullet will outride the other 2 boats mentioned above. Whether you get it with a 250 or 300, its a fishing machine. Forget what you have heard about bullet for many years and check out the newer 21xrs.

I bought a new Ranger in 2011 and it absolutely does not have a stress crack in it. Fit and finish is flawless.
