New here to TFF:) Got rid of my big boat a few years back and just recently purchased a small 10' trolling motor type boat for smaller bodies of water. Are there any small boat clubs out there for fishing smaller bodies of water ponds/lakes? Or if you have recommendations of places to go check out that would be great. North Texas DFW area, mostly N Ft Worth Denton County area. Thanks!

lbj grasslands lakes - crystal lake, balck creek, etc. Out there in denton. Muenster lake in muenster by gainesville is amazing, southlake in farmersville is a drive for you but most lillypad covered water in the metroplex and a tpn of fun... Marine creek lake and mountain creek lake...

Launching and fishing the creeks north end of joe pool is fun too, loyd park ramp dumps right into creek there. Miss the heck out of my kayak and pond prowler, probably have to buy another soon!

Hey Mulholland, Thanks...awesome suggestions! I have a back seat open on my twin troller if you want to get out fishing. Would welcome the knowledge it sounds like you have on some of these places! Just let me know... Thanks again.

Check out privatewaterfishing.com and see if you see value in it. I had a twin troller and just upgraded back to a big boat to take the family out in. I really enjoyed the club and when you make a reservation you have the lake to yourself.

Check out Marine Creek on north 820 in Ft. Worth. One of the most overlooked fishing spots in the area. I've caught lots of bass there over the years.
