good evening,
i worked late today and noticed on the way home.........the new murphy oil station(walmart) on pines rd and I 20 in shreveport a sign saying NON ETHANOL GAS........WOW !!!!!!!
will check it out tomorrow.........

This could be a trend. The Wal-Mart in Waco just installed their own gas pumps and each set has an Ehanol Free option. Only 87 Octane and .20 higher than regular.

This could be the beginning of the end of ruining our gas. If the biggest retailer in the world does this on a wide scale it will draw attention.

Great, hope they do it here. I have to drive 35 miles and pay 72 cents a gallon more for it here. Still costs less than replacing fuel hoses and cleaning carburetors and tanks. bg

I believe Murphy recently sold their ethanol plant so maybe they will expand a lot more.

it is not that good of a deal since they are charging more for non ethanol gas as it is cheaper to make than gas that has ethanol in it. I mean you already have ethanol free gas when it is made and then you have to purchase ethanol to add to your gas.so hence you have to charge more.

Sure wish that would happen here in the DFW metro mess. Preferably within a mile or so of my house  Ethanol is the biggest scam that has ever been forced on us. Countless engines, vehicles and equipment have been ruined because of this [censored] fuel. These outboards were never meant to run on this stuff especially the older 2 strokes. Engine overheat is the main killer caused by the corn gas. These 2 strokes don't have O2 sensors to control fuel flow and the closed loop fuel mapping is way too lean for running ethanol. Might be best to run a little more oil in the mix to help protect and keep the engine cool. Also need to run ethanol fuel treatment in every tank.

Anything that is being made to get around govt BS regulations that screws up all boat & small engine motors is worth the extra cost. Have you ever read of any of the problems caused by ethanols high water content?

We are paying more for the ethanol than the price on the pump! Our government is subsidizing ethanol, with our tax money.
