First off I am a very rare poster, but frequent visitor, and want to say thanks to all that take the time to share their experience and knowledge. Moving on.
Just bought a "new to me" old boat. A 1976 15' Top Tenner. I cannot find a manufacturers plate with capacities, hp rating etc.. It does have a sn stamped in the transom. It came with a 35 hp Johnson, which I will be trying out this weekend. But I have a 50hp on my old boat that I would like to use. That boat is a 16' stick steer and is rated for 70hp. I guess without a plate stating otherwise, I shouldn't have trouble with the law? But I mostly want to make sure I don't damage the boat, or make it unsafe. All opinions would be appreciated.

Remember why we are celebrating this weekend, and remember those that are in harms way today to preserve our freedoms.

thanks
gdc

The world will not be destroyed by those who do evil, but by those who watch them without doing anything. Remember what He has done and remember that He is not done yet!-- GOD IS GOOD
