I am getting interested in FF for trout and hear that Blue River in Oklahoma is good starting in November and is only 1 1/2 hrs from Denton. Anyone have experience there?

I went to college in Tishomingo and fished the blue river daily. It is an excellent place to trout fish in the winter as well as lmb and smb year round. I'd also recommend beavers bend, the Brazos below PK and the Guadalupe.

Floater, there is some good info on TFF regarding the blue River. Most people fish around the crossing...Hughes Crossing if I recall correctly. Wooly buggers brown and black to well as well as nymphs under a strike indicator. The river doesn't move very fast so you know. Also, there's good fishing there during warm weather as well. Not a bad idea to get up and check it out before November.
