We've never had a "miss" with Matt. All hits. Today was no different. From schooling fish in shallows to finding them deep. Matt does whatever it takes. Proud to say some of these fish will be in my fryer on the 4th. Annual dock fish fry at Harbor Bay. Had a blast with Keith, Steve, David and Jacob. It's about getting up at 3:30 AM because you want to not have to. It's breakfast, fellowship, fishing. It's about all of those things. And hats off to Matt. I saw his trip posted that he was at the Coast fishing. I texted him Thursday and asked are we still good for Friday? Yes sir he says. No telling what time he got home last night from the Coast. He was there before the sunrise and within 30-minutes it was fish on! It was fish on a lot. It's like that movie except it's, "Fish On-Fish Off..." After we caught our limit of course. These are the days you remember. I rarely hear anyone say I had just a great time at work today. We all work hard so we can go play with Matt on Tawakoni. I've fished the lake a ton of years. It never ceases to amaze me. What a fishery that lake is. God Bless America this Monday. And God has for a long, long time. Today was one of His many blessings. Happy Fishing.

Sorry i didn't say much about the trip yesterday but 3:30 had caught up with me when i wrote this.
We got to the lake and Matt was waiting on us and away we went. We found several top water schools and threw cocmo's and sassy shad from www.moestackleshop.com. We landed several good fish and a bunch of under sized ones. Jeff and his crew were out there with us and looks like they were doing good from what i could see. That dies down when a few boats kept motoring through the schools and scared the fish off.

So we went hunting for bigger fish and Matt found us a good school. We landed about 50 Hybs and Stripes and several broke off. Roy Songy and his bunch came over by us and they started hammering them too. I got a catfish and Frank said it was going home to his wife because she loves them --LOL--.

Then about 1 or so we called it a day and Matt cleaned our haul.
Frank, Steve, Jacob and David were an absolute blast to fish with. We need to do it again. I have been on vacation all week and this trip topped it off. Thanks guys for letting me come along and thank you Matt for a great trip. smile

A few more pics --=LOL--

We went out early this morning as well. Hit up sun point around 6:30 and we were the only boat for a while, everybody else we saw were out deeper. We started slabbing and using live bait and it was fast and furious for the next two hours. I landed my PB striper which was just a little over 27". And boy did that guy put up a fight! We had an awesome morning on Tawakoni! unfortuneately my phone isn't letting me load the pictures. The biggest hybrid and striper were actually caught on 3" 1.5oz fle-fly chartreuse and chrome slabs with red eyes
