Make sure to checkout the ramp before launching some jack wagon moved one of the big rocks from the bank to middle of the ramp in about 2' of water. Guy before me hit the rock with his trailer luckily it didn't do any damage to it. On another note the fishing was pretty good probably caught around 20-30 fish with the biggest going around 6-7 lbs.

Good for you, Charles. (903) 567-2826 is the phone number for the City of Canton. May want to make them aware of it as they are they are the controlling authority. Sounds like someone is trying to ruin someone else's 4th. mad

Thanks for the info.

Was out there approx two weeks ago and didn't get a bite. May I ask what bait/pattern you were using?

there has been a big chunk of concrete with metal poles sticking out of it laying on the grass right by the ramp for a while now.. I'm surprised that someone hasn't pushed it back in the water right there. some people are such jackwagons

Not trying to steal the post, but how was the water clarity? Haven't been in forever but would like to go sometime

Nice heads up, and glad you caught some fish out there. I'd love for this lake to be on the rebound. It used to be so good. Our club had a small tourney out there a couple of years ago, and fishing was much tougher than what we remembered. I actually caught a lot of fish, but all were small. We used to catch some really good fish out there.

I think what y'all might be seeing next to the ramp with poles sticking out is the fish habitats that tpwd put out a few years ago. They set out 3 and currently there are 2 sitting by the ramp.

Thanks for the heads up about the rock.
