I asked a game warden why they were doing this to boaters since there was no way to control the water coming from lakes upstream that had zebra mussels and that was the main source of contamination due to the flooding. He said it was something they could control. I told him that was a pretty sad answer. So you'd rather them say screw it, let's do nothing at all? Disease control among humans and animals is managed the same way. You do your best to control as many variables as possible while researching ways to eliminate the prob all together. All they're asking is for you to be cognizant of the situation and make a little effort to help stop a much larger problem than the few minutes of your personal inconvenience.

One of the main lakes I used to fish in Indiana got them along with Eurasia milfoil. It went from a lake with little to no weeds with maybe 1 foot visibility to now up to 10 foot visibility in some areas with weeds EVERYWHERE. They changed everything about the lake and honestly it helped us out but we're talkin about Indiana so it couldn't get any worse anyway!! But now later into the summer the weeds get out of control to the point of them having to treat and kill them off and it just jacks everything up from there, so let's pray it doesn't get to that point with these fine lakes.
