I just got the boat back from the shop after having a new trim/tilt motor put on. It's a 1998 Lowe 17' v-hull.
I am re-terminating all the wires that go to the batteries due to corrosion. This appears to be an inline 30amp 32v fuse from the Dual Pro battery charge. But as far as I can tell is the ONLY fuse from the battery charger to the two batteries (two red and two black). As an example, this battery charger appears to have 4 fuses (one for each wire). Should mine be wired this way too? Should I put a fuse one each wire, 7" or less from the battery?
http://ep.yimg.com/ay/outletpc/dual-pro-...-charger-14.jpgI also have another inline fuse holder that I believe goes to all the pumps and such. It's a 20amp fuse. Is this still needed as well? If so, what inline fuse holder do you guys recommend?
Lastly, terminating the wires at the battery. Is there a certain terminal end that you guys use that lasts longer than others and its protected from the elements?
