I thought about them, I bought a light weight led to attach to my cap. The led light up what I'm looking at when needed. I turn them off when fishing and use the moon. I do like the navigation led in the rub rail. Beside looking cool I don't see much use for them. Even with an open mind. They will fade away

Unless you get them to shine on the water too, every who has run a jug line knows radiant light from the boat doesn't jive with trying to see the actual lake.

I think they look goofy. In compartment lighting I can appreciate. Deck lighting is useless to me. No use in daylight, can't see to run and probably not legal, and of no use night fishing. Just installed mine. I put them on on a remote dimmer and only turn them on when needed.

I have the 1watt red ones . They light up the deck barely enough to see it. looks pretty neat, too. But then again, I didn't do it for everyone else and don't really give a chit what anyone else thinks

Red on deck with dimmer lights up the deck bright enough to see when tying on night vision recover time only a few seconds to get back to fishing. Havent picked up any chicks with them yet but hey you never know. Hope my wife doesn't find out about that she wont let me go at night.
