Yes, I may spend an hour or two (seriously) just driving around and looking for bass. I don't stop until I see something like this: THEN I drop a buoy and the hammer on them. I'll usually catch anywhere from 10-25 or so out of a school like that and then it is back to driving around looking for the next school. Most people don't have the patience for that type of fishing.

This is the only way to go my friend. I use and trust my electronics. What would be the purpose of having electronics if you didnt use them to your benefit? Thats why I spent an arm and leg for them to begin with.

Just in time for white bass fishing in the Yegua. I new set of knees to slide around on the slick muddy banks. Yep, you got that right. I had a hard time this past white bass spawn. One time I walked so far down stream before my knee gave out that I wasn't sure how I was going to walk back to my truck. That was the last time I walked that far downstream, I wasn't going to put myself in that situation again.

Factory set electronics really are not that difficult to read. I keep trying to make mine read better and all I do is mess them up, then I hit the (reset to factory settings) LOL I just upgraded mine as well, all new to me. But it's a new set of eyes with the down scan system. I always have two screens running at the same time. The one at the helm may have three screens running. Well, I guess it depends on where I'm fishing and what I'm throwing that determines which programs are up and running. I would say sonar and contour are on for the most part, but when I enter into a timber area, then sonar and down scan. But its nice to be able to switch around on your electronics to get the best production out of the system for your benefits.

Most people don't have the patience for that type of fishing. I am thinking it helps a whole lot to know just where to look as well. That part may be one of the more difficult aspects.

Yes, there is a lot to know about this lake. You can't just pull up on any given place and expect to get bit. But there are many little hot spots, so keep moving around till you get on one.

Fished last weekend, caught them on the dam early at daylight on topwater. Then we moved to wind blown trees and found some nice chunks flipping creature baits. Bank bite was hit and miss from what I found. Hydrilla at the intake produced a few nice chunks. Ended the day with a good 20 plus Lb, best 5 bass stringer.
