TFF,

My step-dad had a stroke about two years ago and I'm afraid to try and get him the boat, plus the heat is rough this time of year. I was thinking about trying to take him fishing somewhere north metro. I live in Prosper. It might not be the right time of year for the fishing barge but I'm interested if anyone has any reports, or other ideas?

Appreciate any ideas y'all might have. He can walk, but his balance is challenged as you might imagine. He's late 70's.

I think the barge would be a great idea. I haven't been there in a long long time, but looks like they still have A/C. Comfort in safety rails and other people around as well.

They just posted this on their FB page about 5 hour ago.

The Mill Street entrance is OPEN finally. There is some water across the road but you can get through. Thanks to all our loyal patrons who exercised over the past few weeks getting to us. We appreciate you. Spread the word to all you know. Sand Bass and Hybrids running early morning. Cats starting to come in. Crappie fair to good early morning. LET'S FISH

Lots of unders caught right now. The road is flooded. Park at the softball fields and follow the concrete trail.
