I'm not looking for any honey holes or exact locations, I'm just wondering is a crappie could be caught under the bridges on Fork right now. I want to take my son fishing this evening and wanted a good place to start, seeing how my last attempt at crappie fishing on another lake (one black bass about 6 inches long) was such a disaster roflmao I plan on fishing this evening into dark with a green light and some minners, wish us luck friends thumb and thank you for putting up with my rookie question haha

Was out at Fork yesterday and talked to a boat that got a 2 man limit under the Hwy 17 bridge at Big Mustang.I saw them under the bridge and saw them again at the fish cleaning station at Pope's Landing Marina. They were fishing at night but said when they came in at 10 am they left them biting. They also said a boat pulled up to the opposite pilings and started catching them non stop.Jigs and minnows.

I was out there last couple weeks. Came home both times with a full box of crappie. Not many 12 inch + fish. Most keepers in the 10-11 inch range. They probably got used to eating shiners when they were 9 1/2 inches and got thrown back. Must have been a shock when I thew them in the ice instead. Caught several huge bluegills also that probably have made a living stealing bait on those bridges. They went in the ice too.

Every other fish is a 9" throw back even now. Both trips I hooked very big LM Bass and cats. Landed some of them. Real hoot on my 10 ft crappie pole and 6 lb test line.
