We've been smoking the crappie in North Texas with BoneHead Tackle Brush Gliders, Slim Sticks and Stump Bugs on 1/16 BX Bladed jig heads.

Fish are suspended on timber and detecting the light bite can be made easy with Hi Vis braided line.

Here's a few photos from the last couple of evenings.

Bait had been wacked pretty good a few times. I didn't push it back up for the photo.

They weren't shy this evening. Thumping it for sure.

They were stacked at Ray Hubbard this evening. All released

I'm a sucker for a good looking bait so I stopped by Porters on Lake Palestine on my way home from work yesterday and picked up a pack of the silver/charttruse brush gliders. Unfortunately they didn't have any of the bonehead bladed jigs so had to make do with some road runner jig heads I already had. Went for an evening boat ride with the family but was able to hit a spot or two and try them out. Fished several of my other favorite baits and caught quite a few fish but all the toads came on the brush glider. Very pleased with the results for the first time using it.

By the way, thanks for that video you posted a recently and awesome slabs!

Great job! Love to see the happy faces on the clients of any guide! Look at the size of the fish you put them on! Awesome!
