Thanks Jeff. This time of the year, I'll throw my Green Pumpkin Blue or one of the shad patterns or just plain white early and late in the day and then black/blue or solid black at night. GP Blue isn't on my website yet, but it's been one of my favorite colors lately. If I'm fishing offshore this time of year, I like all of the patterns but the Mature Gizzard and Bar Fish colors are probably my favorites.

I like the Finch Nasty Thumper as well in the watermelon red/white color with a LFT watermelon pearl magic shad as a trailer. Southern Mayhem makes a good one too.

As far as brand I don't have one that outperforms the other. Color though would be bluegill or shad patterns.

I made some with parts from some online store. Hope that helps...

My go to color has been a brown and copper color like a crawdad.

I appreciate the kind words. That is definitely a good combo. I highly recommend the LFT trailer with the Thumpers. I've tried just about every recognized brand of trailer, and I really believe the action and the results are best with the LFT trailer. I try to send a couple of LFT samples with every online order because I want guys to have the best results, and I really think that trailer improves the odds. The LFT store in Emory carries some unique colors that match their Live Magic Shads also. The Magic Shad color Thumper was just brought out about a month ago. They've had Tilapia, Golden Shiner, Fire Perch and Albino Melon for a while also. The only time I change it up is when I'm in really skinny water, and then I will downsize and use a bulkier trailer.

This homemade bluegill. After a great deal of testing I went with a black blade, unfinished lead head and a Rage Menace grub. I spent a lot of time trying to get a Keitech Swing Impact to work but that tail is very buoyant and tends to look unnatural (at least to me).

I want one of those. Looks great.
