I figure if anybody can appreciate what a great feeling it is to escape the madness of big-city traffic and move to the lake, it's this group. After eight years of surviving I-75 from south of McKinney to my job downtown, today the end is in sight. My offer on a house in Enchanted Oaks was accepted, so we'll soon be sitting with lower blood pressure and bigger smiles on our over-sized dock (with good water and out of the wind) in the evenings, catching crappie on the brush piles I'll be submerging.

Both kids are off to college. Daughter heading into third year at Texas Tech; son just headed to the University of Oregon on a baseball/academic scholarship.

Go Ducks. Go Red Raiders.

Dad's goin' fishin'.

Good for you. Jealous but good for you. Been trying but just can't pull it off. All I need is 6 good numbers and I'm outta here.

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

I'm actually in Lucas, so we are in the same boat. The funny thing is, I'll go from a 32-mile commute to a 60-mile commute -- but I'll bet I get home in the evenings in about the same time.

Hope you are able to make a same soon.

Congrats on the new home in a great area of CCL.
After living in a lake front home on CCL for 15 years, I finally sold out and moved back to Oklahoma! I got tired of the traffic around CCL!!!!!!! hehehehe

Congrats, that's one of my favorite parts of the lake. Let me know when you get all set and I will show you some great spots in that cove.
