Need some help guys on selecting the best batteries for my boat. I have a 24 volt system and a Terrova 80# trolling motor. My current batteries are on their 4th season. I use the spot lock a lot and if there's any kind of wind my batteries are juiced after a couple hours of fishing. I know most of you guys out there have way more experience than i do with this matter so I appreciate any and all help!

I got a full 5 years out of a pair of these and I fish 4-5 times per month.

Use nothing but cabellas AGM batteries. Always at least 5 years no problem no maintence.
Just catch them on sale and they are not that expensive.

I suspect you have 27s as the batteries for your trolling motor. I would look into 29s or 31s to replace the 27s.

Thanks Baylor 1970. Yes I've been looking at series 31s from O'Riley automotive.

I didn't see in your post if yours are deep cycle or not..definately get deep cycle group 29 or 31.

Thanks Texas bass1 and bronco71. Definitely go with a 31 series. Any particular brand you favor?

Cabelas AGM are great. I've had good luck with Excide also. Have only used Optima for starting battery with no problems.

31's from Academy for $110. Can't go wrong with them.

Just replaced my (3) 6 year old Optima Blue Tops. Got them from www.streetsideauto.com also. Best prices I found.
