Was out on the water today from 11am-3pm. It was really hot but the water was clear to about 4' and the wind was calm near the dam side. Found them bunched up on a ledges near a secondary points, almost always right around 14' of water. Threw everything I could think of into them but could not get a bite. Eventually got a 2.5lb largemouth on a 5xd crank, sexy shad color. Spent a lot more time driving around learning my new Humminbird than I did fishing today though. Here is a pic of the fish, check out the pincer.

Die a craws claws red with Spike it. A Sharpi marker to make a few block spots to break it up. You have the pattern as that claw. I would try it but that is just me.
Say "craws claws" five times as fast as you can.... Toy boat, toy boat...
