Any shareable info on either.
Been working too much & not fishing.

Or

I would go to Palestine. You can catch fish on almost any point down South. Some small some medium sized. I have been throwing moving baits really early (rattle trap/shallow crank) and change to shaky head/drop shot or c-rig after that bite stops. You will have fun. There will be boats on each, but Palestine is bigger.....

We're in bad shape when Nutman is asking for info on Athens...

Can't speak to Palestine, but I was on Athens 2 weeks ago. It was tougher than usual. I made it to my first spot and there was nobody on it, but the next 4 places I tried to go--there was at least one boat if not more in the area I wanted to fish.

The shallow bite was not there for me, and they didn't seem to be around docks. Best bite was 12-18 feet.

I haven't been on Athens on a weekend in 3 years, not worth it. Palestine I can get away from people. And they won't be skiing or playing around on the north end.

I concur on the shallow bite and docks. I even pulled out the fairy want to skip weightless senkos under the docks with no luck

In the middle of the channels going back to the larger creeks is where my partner was catching good schoolers that weekend. It was all about the type-size and color of the line-through swimbait... It was "Hitch". Couldn't get a bass on almost anything else. I did get a skinny longer fish on a drop-shot in Summer Shad (same copper coloring). The white bass were smashing flutter spoons in the same locations.

Fished athens saturday from 6-130. Tough bite for sure. Caught 10 or so total fish, all slots with 2 overs. All but 1 fish came on docks with the lone straggler on a 6xd in 15ft on a main lake point.

Here are the overs

Nice. I recognize that dock in the first pic.
