Lake has been closed for 3 weeks or so and still around 5 ft. high.
Clients booked a trip and I was so glad to get back on water and see how the bite was.
Well, it was just as good as it was before the lake was shut down.
Fished about 5.5 hrs and had our 2 man limit.
At the end of trip we were throwing back keepers since we were at limit.
Culled 8-10 that were in livewell with bigger fish.
Rest of the fish were on ice, so could not cull anymore.
A few of the fish were close to 1.5 pounds which is really good for Granger.
Clients started out using minnows, but went through 3 dozen pretty quick.
After a couple of hours we were all fishing with Dan's Jigs!
Fish bit just as good on Jigs!
Now is the time to book a trip as the fishing is as hot as the temps right now!
I'm always in a good mood when I'm fishing.
