I apologize if someone answered my last post, but I was out of the country.
I cannot get my 1985 "85hp Evinrude" outboard to even turn over. Dad died, and I am not even sure if the ignition key is good.
Does anyone have the name of a tried-and-true service person/shop in North San Antonio?
I desperately want to sell this thing, but right now it's a floating 2x4.

On my old '79 85hp Johnson there was a main fuse under the cowling on the top left hand side of the motor that blew for some unknown reason and wouldn't let anything function. You might try that before taking it to a shop. Like you, I asked here and someone pointed me right to it. Not saying that is you problem, just something to check first.
