Took yesterday off for my birthday and headed to Fork w little man and Grampy. We haven't fished Fork since the big fish tourney so I was looking forward to the trip! Today is actually my birthday but I have a party to take my daughter to this morning and a wedding tonight so we went yesterday. Started around 730 on concrete and first two drops lost crappie. Then caught a 4lb ditch pickle and broke the tip off my new bonehead rod!! Probsbly shoulda went back to bed but the day improved from there. Caught fish off 2 bridges here and there then went to fish timber and brush. About half the places we stopped we caught crappie at. Sadly a lot of brush piles are settled out or missing all together so I got a lot of work to do there. Probsbly put 30-40 fish in the boat with half being keepers. Caught a few trashfish as well. Had a couple pound and a half fish. Nothing big. All released to fight another day. I don't clean fish on my birthday. I did warn a few that wouldn't happen again anytime soon!!

Great trip. Happy Birthday. The boss and I went out this morning about 830, and started on mainlake BP, got about
15, kept 6 biguns. The wind got really bad, so we ducked into a cove and another BP. Samething again, caught about 12-15 and kept 6 biguns....came in about 1245,...minnows for us, most were in 18-26 feet, couple turns off the bottom. Only one bass,..a fourteen inch fatty, weighed about 2 pounds...may go back later this evening if wind dies down,..jim.

Happy B day. We have been finding fish is 25 ft but sure are a lot of short ones. My buddy and I put out some willows Thurs pm and caught ten off of em this afternoon in about fourty five minutes. Had to leave em biting.
