Many have asked about launching boats on Somerville. The only place I know is to call Welch park and see if you can launch off their road. With lake dropping 2 1/2 inches per day, everything is day to day, until it gets down another 8 feet. The lake now covers over 20,000 acres instead of 11,000.
Today I had Laura and her son Matt, from Hearne, and a friend Tony, out for the morning on Somerville. The first two spots produced not even a bite and we have been getting firs there. Like I said, with lake dropping everyday things are different, even the bite.
The next two stops produced some fish. Matt got the first and the most fish, while Laura got big fish of the day at 5#. We had about 4 fish in the 5# size today. They ended the morning with 34 nice cats for the cleaning table.
All fish caught using corks, in 10-12 foot water, using CJ's crawdad punch bait.
